What the article isn't saying is that the 'racy' titles are essentially porn -- highly explicit, sometimes kinky (persuit and capture is a popular trope), frequent sex.

Basically, ebooks are allowing people -- especially people who are not supposed to 'like porn' (ie: women) to read it without rocking the cultural boat too hard.
