Thanks for posting; this is definitely a good read :) I'm sure I've done more than one of these things before.

I would also add the Idiot Plot's cousin - the plot that can only work if all the bad guys are idiots. They'll do things like leave clues for the protagonist just because "they're so cocky they think they can get away with it", or they'll make a huge, crucial mistake somewhere despite having done everything else flawlessly.
