The First Draft Sucks

I thought this article on first drafts and how they can suck and make you doubt yourself was an interesting article.
If you find that you are losing interest in your WIP, are stalled out around the middle of the book or are being lured away by another story idea that seems much better you may be interested in this article over on Storytellers Unplugged, it offers some pretty good advice about sticking to it to the finish.

I remember reading somewhere that late Robert Jordan was always very protective of his drafts. And that he worked on it several times until he showed to his editor/wife Harriet.

If a master such as he shied away from showing his first draft, I wonder how many drafts would I need to go through before it's worthy of a second set of eyes?
