newbie

Hi, Im new to the community and to lj too. I really enjoy writing, especially about things that arent typically written about. Im just begining to put some things up and i would greatly appreciate any tips/comments/good criticism. I dont know how to put one of those links up yet, but everything is on my page and I would love it if someone could look at it.Thanks!

You don't know what you are
until you're stuck in the ground,
stuck in the rotten brown
and everyone is above you.
It's all shifting
and you can't see a thing,
you have to catch up
but your effort is useless
just like prayer.

Hello there, new to the comm... I would like some critique/advice/anything on my latest project.
It's about... the excentric owner of an old antique shop. I've not gotten very far yet, I'm working on the introduction which is going to be a number of different parts describing different aspects of the shop and customers etc. Right now I'm not completely sure about where I will take the story, but feel free to take a look, and give me your thoughts!
