help with what happens next...

So, I have this screen play I've been writing for script frenzy (google it), but I don't know what should happen next. I'm not even really sure what's going on currently, but there you have it.

What's happened so far is a young man, James Remington, has had a strange dream in which he has exchanged dialogue with a person he has named Figment. The next day he wakes up to find, at his work, a man who looks just like Figment, from his dream. They talk and James finds out that the mans name is Gideon Post.

skip ahead...James googles "Gideon Post" and finds nothing. He turns on the news just in time to hear that apparently Post has been taken hostage on top of the office building they both work at and no ransom demands had been made.

Next thing you know Post is standing right behind him. Post mentions that the attackers are actually after him specifically, so of course no ransom would be made. James confronts him about how he escaped. Post is cryptic and tells James that he is dreaming again. James wakes up and finds that the hostage situation never happened. He begins to research dream interpretation. And then...what? I don't know.

I have a vague notion that someone is able to enter the dreams of others...not sure who yet, or why. I'm pretty sure that Figment is one...beyond that...I got nothing.
