This has happened before, but always differently.  Before, I've always been stuck with the whole story, no more thoughts to go on.  In this story, I have everything, even future scenes that I know how to connect and a plausible world and setting!  So, ah, with this character stuck where it is, I'd like some help.

Here's the overview of what's wrong at the moment:
My main character, Aria, is currently walking through a forest with a friend trying to escape the protagonist that is undoubtedly chasing her.  In two days she will run into the rest of her wandering group.  The problem is how to pass those two days and still include the two plot-developing dreams that happen during that time.

So, any ideas are very welcome.  Even referring me to a book that does something like that will help me tremendously.  Err, yes... thank  you.

I'm going to say that I like the idea of a partial jump as well as the one sentence coverage.  Perhaps something like:

Aria and her companion walked through the day.  Although she was far more tired than she expected, their surroundings seemed too close to the same for them to have gone very far even though ____ (he has no name yet >.<'') had assured her that this logical conclusion was far from the truth.

When she settled in that night, she prepared for another rough night on the ground and was rather surprised when she found herself... (enter dream sequence)

Does this sound acceptable?
