How much research do you do?

Just out of curiosity, how much time does everyone spend doing research for stories? Are there any topics you've found while researching that have given you great ideas for your stories?
I seem to spend a lot of time researching various topics that I may or may not incorporate into my stories. Different societies, types of injuries, psychology, etc. I tend to write a lot of fantasy and the more grounded in reality the normal aspects of things are the more realistic the fantastical parts seem to be. That and I just love world building. Less well known existing cultures are a great source for ideas.
