Biography Query

Hello everyone,

I've been contemplating writing a biography recently. The problem and potential stumbling block is that i'm not sure how i would collect information about the chosen person. She's rather reserved and there isn't an awful lot of the internet in regards to interviews, personal information, even professional info. Has anybody written a bio before? If so, how did you go about compiling information about them. Any help would be appreciated.
