I was reading a submission guide yesterday and thought of your post. I don't think it's a problem since it's only a section AND only a first draft. But as you progress, you definitely need to be careful. I believe if there is some form of password or prevention, it should be okay.

If your piece has previously appeared anywhere on the Internet, many ezines won't want it, or will accept it only as a reprint.
