I have to write an essay about copyright but I have no idea what to write about! The essay has to be between 5,000 to 10,000 words with at least three main bodypoints -although I will probably have to have more bodypoints than that if I want to achieve the insane word count. Do you have any ideas?

First, try Googling 'copyright' to see what it is all about.

You could start with what copyright is.

Internet copyright issues/laws might be a good topic, especially since they're still in their first stages, and they're becoming increasingly more important.

You could look at internet publishing rights for novels or whatever (like what people post on this community--what copyright and publishing laws apply to the posting of work by an amateur writer on a free internet community?

You could, as an academic exercise, see how many copyright laws you could break in 5- to 10,000 words :-)
