Hi! My name is Daly (pronounced "Dolly") and I'm new to this community. I like to write fantasy/sci-fi, although I considered myself a general writer, since I like to write in various genres. I'm doing a new sci-fi novel/webcomic (not sure yet). I figured that I post it to see what you think. Thanks! :-)

Timehopper Kuya Series Outline:

Genre: Sci-fi/action comedy

Setting: Varies -- outer space/various galaxies, planets, space colonies, etc.

In the future -- 2907 (however, there will be time travel to Earth in the present)

Synopsis: Four teens (3 aliens (Atenians) plus 1 human) are in a mission to find the Time Gadget -- a device that could drastically manipulate the time and space continium -- before it falls into the wrong hands, mainly Larnyxe and Leia.

Timehopper Kuya Character Sketches:

The Starship Crew:

Kuya (Captain)

Male; non-human; extraterrestial - Atenian (Jackal-like alien species)

Likes: Time-travel, helping others

Dislikes: Robot spiders, being judged as stuck-up or anti-social, getting his feelings hurt, failing to save others

Defining characteristics: He's shy and gets scared easily at times (until later on), but is determined to defend his friends and others. He also loves Jadalyn, but is afraid to tell her his feelings for her.

Seskia (Navigational Controls)

Female; human; Latin American (Puerto Rican)

Likes: Music, swimming, navigation, relaxing, her home space colony (Nuevo San Juan)

Dislikes: Having to be called a "maid" by Zak and getting caught in one of his pranks, being left out

Defining Characteristics: She's the only human crew member aboard the starship which causes her to often feel left out. She and Kuya have been best friends. Zak would play pranks on her (mainly because he never personally knew a human being before)

Zak (Weapons Specialist)

Male; non-human; extraterrestial - Atenian

Likes: Playing pranks on Seskia and calling her a "maid", beautiful alien girls, being lazy (BIG PROCRASTINATOR), comedy, partying, having fun, handling weapons

Dislikes: working for more than two hours, "boring" vacation spots/planets, getting Jadalyn angry, evil alien girls

Defining Characteristics: His main flaw is procrastinating; his number one weakness is beautiful alien girls; he often complains to Kuya about not letting the crew get a vacation from their mission of finding the Time Gadget

Jadalyn (Combat Fighting/Martial Arts Trainer)

Female; non-human; extraterrestial - Atenian (Lycanthrope sub-species)

Likes: Hand to hand combat, matial arts, knitting/sowing

Dislikes: Being angry, not being able to control her transformation during the full lunar cycles (on most planets), other Atenians discriminatining her because of her true nature

Defining Characteristics: She was born with a mutated DNA (along with other members of her family) which causes her to transform into a werewolf (or werejackal) on the night of the full lunar cycles (there are three moons orbiting around her home planet) starting at the year she started puberty. On her home planet she could control her transformation, although she usually has a problem with it on other planets. She secretly loves Kuya, but is afraid to tell him

The Villains:

Larnyxe

Male; non-human; extraterrestial - Atenian

Likes: Dreaming about taking over the universe (although it seems impossible), manipulating the time and space continium with the Time Gadget, toturing others

Dislikes: "Happy" things/events, being defeated

Defining Characteristics: Even though he 's evil and malevolent, he actually has Obssessive Compulsive Disorder. Plus, he's not all that evil as he appears to be; he went through pain and trauma during his childhood, which causes him to become a Villain

Leia

Female; non-human; extraterrestial - Humanoid alien with insect-like wings

Likes: Using her powers to hack into security systems and computers, hand to hand combat, martial arts

Dislikes: Jadalyn (both Leia and Jadalyn were close friends when training together in a school for intergalatic martial arts, but competition got in the way), being used (she works for Larnyxe, but she secretly despises him and wants to go and do her own thing; she's waiting for the right moment to betray him and take over the time and space continium with the Time Gadget herself), being told what to do, leaving without a fight

Defining Characteristics: She strives to be the best fighter, but is jealous of Jadalyn's achievements during the training at the school (although she doesn't admit it). Her main goal behind getting the Time Gadget is to go back and prevent Jadalyn from becoming the top fighter at the school

From Present-Day Earth:

Cherry Sinell

Female; human; American (resident of Waldorf, Maryland)

Likes: Playing hide and seek, reading, being outdoors

Dislikes: Getting teased because of her disability, the dark

Defining Characteristics: She's 10 years old and has Cerebral Palsy, which causes her to have difficulty walking. When walking in the hallway at school, other students would tease her and mock the way she walks. She has no friends despite her generous personality and her brother would yell at her whenever she tries to get into his room. When Larynxe comes and ends up kidnapping her, her kindness and generosity gets to him and reveals a softer side of him.

David Sinell

Male; human; American

Likes: His electric guitar, music, video games, horror films

Dislikes: His little sister Cherry annoying him and trying to get into his room, his mother telling him to lower down the volume on his stereo, bullies

Defining Characteristics: He is a 15 year old who happens to get bullied by a group of guys at school. When he witnesses Larynxe kidnapping Cherry, he sets off to rescue her. Along the way he runs into Kuya and his crew and since they're also looking for Larynxe, they let him join them. He will also fall in love with Seskia, but it becomes a problem as their relationship grows ("Time frame" difference).
