Thank you and happy reading.

The Four Mages

200 years ago, four mages were chosen to carry out the task of stopping the demoness Lilith from shrouding the world in darkness. Now the task has fallen to four teenagers. They don’t know why they were chosen, or who by. All they know is that they have to stop Lilith before she accomplishes her mission and destroys everything good and decent on the planet. Will they manage it? Or will the pressure of saving the world be too much for them?

Lilith

Deep inside the dark cave, hundreds of miles away from civilisation, Lilith was plotting her evil plans like always, plans to spread evil and corruption to every inch of the globe. Lightning cracked like a whip outside and a cold, whining wind whistled at the entrance. Lilith didn’t pay any attention to any of this because she was looking into all of the possible futures to see if there was anything that could possibly stop her from conquering the world with evil. She looked through millions of possible futures and saw no hint of hindrance in any of them, so she was feeling very confident with this plan. All of a sudden, while she was looking in the future that would soon be the 21st century, she saw four teenagers of mixed age walking along the street, and a sacred mark on each of them which showed that they were marked from birth to stop her. The details of how they were to stop her, or even realise that they were the chosen were unclear, so Lilith, now in a rage, stormed away from her scrying basin and went over to her Book of Shadows, where all of her knowledge and spells were kept.

She flicked through the pages until she reached the one she was after. She read the page and reread it until she had it memorized and then moved back over to the basin, where the vision of the teenagers was still visible. She then spread her hands over the basin, closed her eyes, concentrated and whispered the ancient words that came readily to her dark red lips. She smiled darkly and moved off to make sure everything was in place for the plan that had taken her 6000 years to create.
