Looking at the poem
That I first wrote you
And I feel the same way
As I did when I first saw your beautiful face
If home is where your heart is
Then my home is in the clouds above with you
This house is so empty without you
And there are times where I can still
Feel you breathing
I’ve been holding back the tears
So tonight, I’m going to let all of them out
One last cry for you
So my heart can grow stronger
One last cry to make everything
Have meaning again

Fantasy Shmantasy

Alright, you fabulous people have FINALLY convinced me to create a writing journal. I've posted a blathering intro (expanding upon the one that I posted here a few days back) as well as three chapter samples.

(Because if I'm going to curse, I'm going to do it pantheistically, godsdammit!)

The entries titled "Beyond the Vale - Daeron's Flashback" and "After the Fall - Barnett" are pretty solid, I think. One is a short flashback revealing some of the brooding "hero"'s motivation. The other is actually from the sequel that I'm working on, a taste of that happens after the "gods" return to the world of men.

"Beyond the Vale - Secilia & Marcos" is the one that probably needs the most work. My inability to take anything seriously keeps me constantly worried about the line between cheesy and dramatic. But the fantasy genre is full of royal power struggles, incest and violent, violent magic. Riiight...

And I can say that you and me
Will be together forever in my heart
During the day when I’m with you
I feel like I am complete
And nothing in my life is better than you
And at night, I lay awake just thinking
Of the next time we will get to be together
When I think of you my heart races
