theskimblishone.livejournal.comName: Kim
Age: 25
Gender: Female.
Sexuality: Lesbian.
Location: South of Melbourne, Australia.
Occupation: Warehouse/office assistant.
Hair: Long, blonde. I really mean long, as in 'down to the seat of the chair' long...
Eyes: Any colour, depending on the light, my mood, my clothes, and a million other factors...
Language: (Australian) English.
Looking for: A place to chatter about writing, and to make some new writing friends.
Tattoos/Piercings: Not at the moment, but I want piercings, at least.
Religion: Chocolate. C'mon, don't tell me it's not a god! ;)
Do you want LJ friends? The more the merrier.
Do you want Snail mail pen-pals? Oddly enough, I usually start sending physical mail to those people I get to know well anyway, so why not?
About me (basics): I have a cat and a dog, love horses, majored in Lit/Anthropology at university, spend way too much time wrestling the compulsion to use adverbs, thinking up cool ways to play with vampire stereotypes, and eating too much chocolate.
Hobbies: Writing, reading, collecting My Little Pony, watching some SF TV.
Music: Nearly any slightly melodic, European heavy metal genre. Lately it's Scar Symmetry, Epica, Insomium, Skyfire, Shade Empire. Always Kamelot and Dark Tranquillity. Chances are I've at least heard of a band you like if it's metal, melodic, and European...
Books: Fantasy. George R R Martin, Robin Hobb, Brandon Sanderson, Lois McMaster Bujold and Patrick Rothfuss are my favourite authors.
TV: Firefly, Stargates SG1, Atlantis and Universe, Star Trek TNG, The Big Bang Theory.
Movies: Lord of the Rings, Serenity, Stardust, The Last Samurai, The Patriot. I'm not huge on movies, though.
What do you write: Fantasy, queer fiction, fantasy with queer-identifying characters. My current projects are a paranormal romance with a little less romance, some humour, and lots of playing with vampire tropes; and an alternate 1850s-Australia-meets-American-Old-West-meets-fantasy novella series.
*waves a huge hello to everyone and looks forward to reading some great stories*
