I'm Showren, and I have been writing various genres of fiction for a while. I've kind of gotten fed up with fanfiction everywhere (not that I haven't written it before), I feel its time to get back to my characters being mine and my worlds being mine and anything I feel they should be.... So I created the below forum: Wonder Underground.... a forum on proboards for original fiction stories....

Well, I'm a bit of a purist, so I think originality is always the best way to go.

Original is best :) Are you going to do subgenre divisions? I'm saying that because I write Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance, and sometimes people go into "Fantasy" expecting something absolutely different.

One last thing--I'm a bit embarrassed to say this--but the background of the forum makes dizzy :( Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm not sure yet about subgenre divisions; I just started with the basics and figured those would probably come up as we got more members. I understand your point... modern/urban fantasy and the paranormal could almost be a genre of its own otherwise its usually flipped-flopped between horror and fantasy depending on the story.

As far as the checkered background goes, *nods* no need to be embarassed. I have been thinking of trying something else with it, so its not quite so in people's faces. The chess board isn't really creativity condusive. Thanks for the comment!
