Genre: I'm going to go with fantasy, but it has elements from different genres.

Summary: IAR is an "anime in prose". I suppose it is still just a story, but IAR doesn't fit into it's own category of what defines a  story in terms of genre. It has a bit of everything. Love, Magic, and people with animal ears... 
Our "magical" girl, Sora Kainomori has no powers. She has no time to save the world between midterms, finals, boyfriend issues, parties, and everything the average freshman in college has to deal with. Her friends aren't really into the whole saving the world thing either. But as darkness threatens to cover the world, will our heroes rise to the challenge and restore peace to the world?
Hell yeah they will.
 Or they might...maybe after finals...
